Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent at Orland Park is a part-time, seasonal role serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technology support and guidance in-store. You’ll assist with check-in, device setup and advice on repair or replacement while coordinating with teammates and maintaining up-to-date knowledge through training.

The position requires flexibility to work holidays, nights, and weekends, with competitive pay and benefits described in the store materials.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
