Job summary

H&R Block in Massachusetts is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with guidance from experienced teammates. You'll earn a competitive hourly rate and gain hands-on tax knowledge with day-one training.

This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office, with evenings and weekend availability during tax season. No prior tax experience required; you will learn and build strong client relationships while

Qualifications

Completion of HR Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training.
Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
Strong communication and question-asking to understand needs.
Problem-solving and organizing information.
Comfort using digital tools including AI-based assistants.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
