Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate in Massachusetts to begin a career in tax and client services with comprehensive training. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions in person while building valuable skills and client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required. You can earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend related products and services.
• Analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
