Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager on Duty who will lead crew to WOW customers and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will oversee daily store operations, train associates, and support receiving and merchandising to boost sales.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, some college preferred, and a minimum of one year in management. Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected; starting pay is $15.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
• Maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members WOW customers through personal contact.
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience for fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and their performance.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock for the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations and staff.
• Occasionally opens or closes the store, secures cash and alarms.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses via merchandising and service.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures.
• Performs store maintenance including cleaning and stock room tasks.

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent
