Job summary

Five Below Inc., a leading value retailer, is seeking an hourly Store Manager on Duty to oversee daily operations and guest experience. The role emphasizes staff leadership, stock handling, and ensuring a seamless checkout process.

You will train crew, manage opening/closing, and collaborate with the leadership team to boost sales and maintain a WOW store environment. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wowing the customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates to ensure performance and service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, overseeing operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, ensure daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising and service.
• Partner with store leadership in merchandising and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance (cleaning, stock room, etc.).
