Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager On Duty-level leader focused on WOW-ing the customer through personal interaction and fast, friendly checkout experiences. You will train crew, oversee daily store activities, and ensure effective stock handling and merchandising.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, staff development, driving sales, and maintaining a safe, organized store. The role supports the leadership team and emphasizes responsive customer service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure high quality service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, responsible for store operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Occasionally manages opening/closing, securing cash, alarms, and daily prep.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance including cleaning, stock room upkeep, and general duties.
