Job summary

Five Below is hiring for an hourly store leadership role in Roanoke, VA. You will oversee daily store operations, train associates, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout to wow customers.

The position requires at least 1 year of management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure. You may open/close the store, manage cash, support onboarding, and drive sales while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check-out experience.
• Helps oversee the daily activities of all store associates, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock to shelf items quickly and efficiently.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations and staff.
• Occasionally opens or closes the store, securing cash and setting alarms for a smooth daily operation.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates to improve performance.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partners with the store leadership team in merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance such as cleaning, stock room organization, and waste removal.
