Job summary

Rivian in California is seeking an Adventure Readiness Specialist to support our Service team during peak seasonal periods. You will be on the front lines, helping maintain vehicle readiness, assist technicians, and ensure owners’ journeys stay on track.

This entry-point role offers hands-on learning through the TRAIL program, mentorship, and a clear pathway into a future Service Technician position with growth opportunities across Rivian’s service network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous technical experience in automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, or related field highly preferred.
• Strong desire to learn, adaptable, and hands-on.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
• Maintain vehicle quality and readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Manage vehicle logistics: lot organization, shuttling, and key management.
• Maintain a clean, safe service center environment adhering to 5S.
• Assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs, focusing on PDI tasks and Express Lane work.
• Learn to safely use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Support workshop by maintaining tool and equipment readiness.
• Participate in the TRAIL program with hands-on learning and mentorship.
• Receive on-the-job training for the Service Technician role.
• Complete Rivian Learning Network (RLN) modules.
• Explore a pathway into a long-term career as a Service Technician.
• Maintain a flexible, all-hands-on-deck mindset with cross-functional support.
