Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site, live-in position is offered for the May–Sept season, with competitive pay, a bonus structure, and room & board provided. You will manage a high-volume kitchen and interact closely with campers and camp leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, high computer literacy, budgeting capability, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Lifestyle: ready to live on-site and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergy protocols and maintain sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Oversee inventory, food orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
