Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a live-on-site seasonal contract at rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will lead all daily culinary operations, manage staff, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This on-site role requires a strong leader who thrives under pressure and is ready to live on-site for the May–Sept season.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution.
• Strict allergen and safety compliance including Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, track daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods corporate office.
