Job summary

Wolfoods is recruiting a Kitchen Manager to lead a fast-paced summer camp kitchen on-site across rural facilities. This hands-on role supervises culinary operations, staffing, budgeting, and allergen safety, ensuring high-quality meals for diverse dietary needs.

The position is seasonal (May–Sept), full-time and exempt, with live-in arrangements and a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week in a vibrant camp community. Strong leadership and food-safety credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified (Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary operations: flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely meal service.
• Allergen safety: manage Kosher, nut-free, gluten-free, vegan protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: manage inventory, place orders, control budgets, daily reporting.
• Client relations: liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
