Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at rustic, on-site summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This is a seasonal contract (May–Sept) with live-in accommodations and on-site duties. Expect heavy workload, 6 days a week, and a focus on quality, safety, and team development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee daily culinary operations, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place orders, and monitor budgets and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
