Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a on-site, live-in role at rural summer camp facilities across the US. The ideal candidate will lead all daily culinary operations, oversee staff, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This seasonal contract (May–Sept) requires a strong leader prepared to live on-site and work a minimum 6 days/70 hours per week, with opportunities for travel and professional growth within a vibrant camp community.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens knowledge required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs and scratch cooking.
• Strict allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and health sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place orders, control budgets and daily reporting.
• Serve as the liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
