Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant to support chefs during classes, engage guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. You’ll help drive customer happiness through hospitality, teamwork, and strong product knowledge.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of retail or kitchen experience, a valid Food Handlers Certification, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences in a bustling store and dining area.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maintain expertise by staying current on products, training, and resources.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience by leading a guest-obsessed culture on the kitchen and store floor.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment, reviews, and guest return rates.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
