Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and delivering a best-in-center experience across classes and retail spaces.

Responsibilities include assisting with class execution, driving enrollment and positive reviews, and maintaining brand standards while ensuring food safety and orderly operations in a high-activity store setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand to create memorable, educational experiences.
• Maintain product knowledge through training and self-learning.
• Lead a customer-focused culture in kitchen and sales areas.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits.
• Help achieve class revenue goals through enrollment and reviews.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals with KPIs like sales volume.
• Set up and breakdown classes, prepare mise en place, clean stations.
• Sanitize dishes and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Restock and organize kitchen supplies and tools as needed.
• Ensure food safety compliance and safe handling of equipment.
