Job summary

Sur La Table is hiring a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and keep the kitchen organized. The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and helping deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities include assisting with class setup, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting store operations while upholding food safety standards and company SOPs. This is a part-time seasonal position with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Assist chefs with class execution that drives repeat visits and positive customer feedback.
• Deliver class revenue goals by ensuring high enrollment, positive reviews, and guest return rates.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and SOPs across the kitchen and store floor.
