Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Key Holder to support the store leadership team and deliver an exceptional customer experience for fans of music and pop culture. You’ll train new recruits, assist with store operations, and help meet sales targets while leveraging product knowledge.

You’ll lead by example, stepping in for the Store Manager when needed, driving KPI improvements, and ensuring the sales floor remains visually appealing and well-organized.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Superpowers in providing customer service and selling.
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Avenger like collaboration and communication skills, as well as Captain America-like leadership.
• The usual retail stuff: able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours, reaching for merch using a ladder, step stool and pole.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
• Step in and step up when needed and help run the store when the Manager is pulled away.
• Understand store sales plan and goals and help drive KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Cover the sales floor and maintain visual standards; assist with opening/closing the store.
• Process sales transactions and use fandom knowledge to drive add-on sales; close out registers and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Support stock room organization and store tidiness; train and coach new Sales Associates.
