Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. seeks a Seasonal Key Holder who loves music and pop culture to support the store leadership team and ensure fans can grab the merch they love. You’ll train new recruits and help the Store Manager with daily operations, aiming to meet sales targets and run the store smoothly.

You’ll lead by example, drive KPI improvements, assist with opening/closing, process transactions, and maintain visual standards while keeping the merch organized and front-of-store engaging.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Superpowers in providing customer service and selling.
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Avenger like collaboration and communication skills, as well as Captain America-like leadership.
• The usual retail stuff: able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours, reaching for Merch using a ladder, step stool and pole.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
• Step in and step up when needed to support store leadership and run the store.
• Understand store sales plan and goals, and help drive sales by increasing KPIs: UPT and ADT.
• Cover the sales floor and assist with opening and closing the store.
• Work the register and process sales while helping drive add-on sales and communicate shortages to the Store Manager.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Support stock room maintenance and store tidiness.
• Train and coach new Sales Associates as needed.
