Job summary

The Salvation Army in Illinois is seeking a Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and daily logistics for the Christmas campaign. You will assist with kettle site coordination, scheduling, data entry, and donor-related tasks to ensure smooth operations.

This temporary role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and flexibility to work during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Local travel may be required and adherence to safety and mission guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with diverse people.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of the Register to Ring system to coordinate kettle sites and routes.
• Assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Field phone inquiries from bell ringers, sites, drivers and others.
• Ensure kettle issues are addressed with corps officers.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to the bank when needed.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
