Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the Christmas Kettle campaign. You will work with employees and volunteers to raise funds for services and ensure smooth site setup and data accuracy.

Role requires coordination of kettles, drivers, and payroll data, plus strong communication with leadership and community partners. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Background check required and results reviewed
• Experience working with volunteers and employees preferred; organizing events helpful

Responsibilities

• Visit kettle sites prior to season to secure permissions
• Place kettles at approved locations by Oct end
• Interview kettle workers and assist with applications
• Coordinate kettles, sites, and workers to raise funds
• Manage driver routes and shift check-ins
• Ensure equipment (bells, kettles, aprons) is available and maintained
• Record Register to Ring activity and payroll data
• Distribute weekly checks to kettle workers
• Ensure security of daily funds and inventory kettles/supplies
