Job summary

The Salvation Army in Danville, IL is seeking a Christmas Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and logistical tasks for the annual campaign. This temporary role helps ensure smooth site operations and donor engagement during the holiday season.

You will handle data entry, scheduling, and coordination of kettle routes, assist with transporting kettles and bell ringers, answer inquiries, and maintain a positive, compliant work environment. Local travel required through December 24th.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; customer service experience considered.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and annual motor vehicle check with valid license.
• Must interact in a friendly, compassionate manner and embody Salvation Army mission.
• Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Typing skills and willingness to learn kettle management systems.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of Register to Ring to coordinate kettle sites and scheduling.
• Assist with transportation of kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Answer inquiries related to kettle operations from bell ringers and sites.
• Coordinate with corps officers to address kettle issues.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to bank when needed.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Maintain Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned; local travel required.
