Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to warmly greet clients, manage scheduling, and support daily operations in person. You will partner with tax professionals to connect clients with the right services and ensure accurate intake and document handling.

This in-person role requires strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills, with availability for evenings and weekends during tax season. Training provided to grow into tax prep or leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve clients professionally
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems)
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care
