Job summary

Jackson Hewitt - 1689 is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead six or more stores, drive district profitability, and oversee recruitment and training. The role supports the District Manager in strategic operations and client relations during the peak tax season.

The position runs from Sept 01, 2026 to Apr 25, 2027 with potential for year-round opportunities based on performance and business needs. Strong leadership and tax knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent business experience.
• 2 years management or supervisory experience required.
• Tax knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-unit retail locations in the district to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Lead recruiting, interview seasonal staff, and oversee tax education and onboarding.
• Monitor performance and coordinate with HR on training and employee relations.
• Ensure locations meet company standards including office setup and facilities maintenance.
• Grow business by retaining and attracting clients and building brand awareness.
• Resolve client inquiries and guide staff on policies and procedures.
• Oversee P&L metrics, discount reports, and district goals.
