Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Seasonal Assistant District Manager to lead multi-store district operations, recruit and train seasonal staff, and drive tax education initiatives. You will collaborate with the District Manager to optimize revenue and profitability while maintaining high service standards within a busy retail environment.

The role requires strong people leadership, tax knowledge, and the ability to manage scalable processes during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 2 years of management or supervisory experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset to drive results
• Tax knowledge preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-unit retail locations within the district in collaboration with the District Manager
• Lead recruiting efforts and interview seasonal employees, guiding them through tax education
• Monitor performance, ensure quality standards and deadlines, and coordinate with HR on training and issues
• Ensure locations meet company standards for setup, technology, and facilities
• Build business by retaining existing clients, attracting new clients, and strengthening brand awareness
• Handle client complaints and answer policy questions; support escalation handling
• Monitor financials (GL & P&L) and district goals including revenue, cash control, and tax return counts
