Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is hiring a customer service associate in Florida to provide engaging shopping experiences, handle returns, assist with pickup, and process transactions accurately. You’ll mentor new employees on the register and help maintain a positive store environment.

Ideal candidates enjoy helping customers, communicate clearly, and adapt to a fast-paced retail setting. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to resolve issues with empathy and judgment.
• Proficient with Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
• Able to train and onboard new hires on POS systems.
• Strong time-management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish, whether resolving returns and exchanges, or supporting order and pickup inquiries
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions‑focused approach
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems to support inventory accuracy
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance and resolution of issues
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Loyalty program, along with new tools, software, and services that enhance the customer and employee experience
• Hours vary based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
