Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Chef Instructor to lead in-store culinary classes, focusing on savory, pastry, and baking techniques. You will teach hands-on sessions, engage customers, and promote cookware and kitchen tools.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining product knowledge, and driving enrollment. Flexible scheduling supports evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Formación

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Savory cooking, pastry and baking proficiency.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and loyalty.
• Deliver in-store culinary experiences through savory, pastry, and baking classes reflecting the company’s passion for food and teaching.
• Communicate technical cooking concepts clearly, encouragingly.
• Maintain expertise by staying current on products and training; seek additional resources.
• Drive class enrollment and sales by engaging customers and promoting featured culinary items.
• Set up and breakdown of classes including mise en place, prepping ingredients, and cleaning workstations.
• Clean and sanitize dishes and equipment to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory levels, minimize shrink, and control costs.
