Sur La Table seeks a Seasonal Chef Instructor to lead in-store culinary classes in savory, pastry, and baking. You’ll share expert techniques, follow recipes and class plans, and act as a brand ambassador to inspire cooking enthusiasm and repeat visits.

The role focuses on hands-on instruction, customer engagement, and driving product sales through live classes. This position requires 12–16 hours per week with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Degree in culinary arts preferred; considerable experience may substitute.
• Proven proficiency in savory cooking and pastry/baking.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Set up and break down classes, prepare mise en place and ingredients.
• Lead savory cooking, pastry, and baking classes to educate and inspire.
• Drive sales of cookware, cutlery, bakeware, mixers, and tools during classes.
• Maintain brand standards and provide top-quality customer experiences.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and store safety compliance.
