Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Chef Instructor to lead in-store savory cooking, pastry and baking classes and to promote cookware, bakeware, and kitchen tools through hands-on instruction and enthusiasm.

You will teach, demonstrate, and refine techniques while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. Availability points include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support class schedules and store goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Culinary arts degree is preferred; however, extensive culinary experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Demonstrated proficiency in savory cooking, pastry and baking, or both.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Deliver in-store culinary classes reflecting the company’s passion for food and teaching.
• Communicate technical cooking concepts clearly and encouragingly.
