Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Chef Instructor to lead savory cooking, pastry, and baking classes in-store, sharing techniques and engaging customers through hands-on instruction.

You will drive sales of cookware and kitchen tools by delivering high-energy classes, maintaining safety standards, and upholding brand excellence. Availability 12–16 hours/week with nights, weekends, and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at time of employment.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; however, candidates with extensive culinary experience and demonstrated technical proficiency will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Demonstrated proficiency in savory cooking, pastry and baking, or both.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by delivering memorable in-store culinary experiences.
• Lead savory, pastry, and baking classes with clear instructions and high standards.
• Drive class enrollment and guest satisfaction to support sales goals.
• Maintain kitchen setup, safety, and cleanliness across classes.
