Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at rural summer camp facilities across the country. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position requires a demanding 6-day/70-hour week, budget and inventory reporting, and strong communication with campers and camp leadership to deliver high-quality meals for diverse dietary

Qualifications

2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date and company-sponsored.
Strong leadership, cooking skills, and allergen knowledge; can handle high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
Oversee operations flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking; ensure timely service.
Manage allergen safety protocols and health standards compliance.
Handle inventory and daily reporting; assist with budget.
Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
