Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety while delivering high-quality scratch cooking.

This on-site, live-in position demands a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week in a fast-paced camp environment. Lead a dynamic team, maintain strict sanitation and safety standards, and coordinate with camp leadership to deliver

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and allergen safety skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding min 6‑day/70‑hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, and menu specs for scratch cooking.
• Strictly enforce allergen protocols and sanitation standards.
• Oversee inventory and assist with daily reporting.
