Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position requires strong leadership, food safety expertise, and the ability to thrive under pressure during a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week from May through September.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic camp setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all prep and production for designated day part.
• Lead kitchen staff and ensure allergen safety protocols.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Coordinate with camp leadership and campers.
