Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp program. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day part, manage a kitchen staff, and ensure allergen safety and high sanitation standards.

Live on-site, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and collaborate with camp leadership to deliver top-tier meals across a seasonal schedule May–Sept.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, identify all Big 9 Allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure timely meal service.
• Strict allergen protocols and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
