Job summary

Fish City Grill in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Prep/Line Cook to prepare, cook and present seafood to high standards. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and follow all safety and recipe guidelines.

Responsibilities include station setup, recipe adherence and assisting with receiving, labeling and storage. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and 6 months to 1 year of prep/line cook experience in a full-service restaurant.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Culinary degree or equivalent preferred.
• Six months to one year minimum experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a full service restaurant; knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgment and decision making abilities.
• Work well with limited supervision within specific position functions, but interact with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present seafood according to Fish City Grill standards.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work area and follow food safety procedures.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing sidework and station setup.
• Assist in receiving, rotating, labeling, and storing product per FIFO.
• Learn other line positions to support teamwork during high volume periods.
• Provide awesome hospitality to all Customers and maintain suggested ticket flow.
