Job summary

Fish City Grill in Allen, TX is hiring a Prep/Line Cook to prepare, cook and present seafood items to Fish City Grill/ Half Shell standards. You will maintain a clean, sanitary station and follow recipes and ticket flow to ensure quality.

The role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and strong communication with team members. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of prep/line cook experience in a full-service restaurant, plus basic math and reading/writing skills.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year minimum experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a full service restaurant; must have knowledge of the cooking techniques utilized in the scope of the Prep/Line position applying for; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgment and decision making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present items according to Fish City Grill/ Half Shell’s standards, recipes and specifications.
• Adhere to ticket times and flow to ensure high quality products for Customers.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work area and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing product; open, ongoing and closing sidework.
