Job summary

Fish City Grill in Dallas, TX is seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep cook to prepare and present seafood dishes with pride, following our recipes and standards. You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen and support the team during busy shifts, delivering high-quality meals while upholding our hospitality and service expectations.

Responsibilities include proper food handling, accurate portioning, and collaboration with the line, as well as assisting with receiving and storage of goods to maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Culinary degree or equivalent preferred.
• Six months to one year minimum experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a full service restaurant; knowledge of cooking techniques is required.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgment and decision making abilities.
• Must work well with limited supervision and interact with team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain energy, enthusiasm, and PRIDE throughout the shift.
• Keep a safe, sanitary work area and follow proper hand washing and food handling.
• Prepare, portion, and present menu items according to standards and recipes.
• Adhere to ticket times and ensure high-quality product for customers.
• Assist in receiving, rotating, labeling, and storing product per FIFO.
• Help other line cooks and learn other positions to support high-volume periods.
