Job summary

Fish City Grill Prosper is seeking a dedicated line cook to prepare, cook, and present seafood items to specification. You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen and support a smooth service with strong teamwork.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in prep/line cook roles, knowledge of cooking techniques, and good reading, writing, and math skills. A culinary degree or equivalent is preferred and a strong work ethic is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Culinary degree or equivalent preferred.
• Six months to one year experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a full-service restaurant.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques used in Prep/Line positions.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgment and decision making abilities.
• MUST work well with limited supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Live by a servant leadership philosophy to always serve others first.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and secure environment at all times by cleaning and sanitizing your work station.
• Prepare and portion items according to Fish City Grill/Half Shell standards, recipes and specs.
• Adhere to ticket times and flow to ensure customers get high-quality product.
• Assist other Line Cooks and learn other positions to foster teamwork during peak periods.
• Assist with receiving and storing orders and keep walk-ins clean.
