Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates by communicating store goals and job specifics.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve department goals.
• Set performance goals for the seafood department and support staff to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates in performance and participate in evaluations.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines relevant to the seafood department.
• Create an inviting environment with product knowledge, samples, and information on specials.
• Cut seafood to customer requests using proper equipment and provide ordered products.
• Prepare foods following safety temp logs and cooking instructions.
• Partner with store management to implement a department business plan for desired results.
• Educate associates about current and upcoming promotions and seasonal changes.
• Submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Monitor and control department expenses and assist with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Schedule price changes by updating shelf tags and promotions.
• Maintain compliance with origin labeling and relevant regulations.
• Plan and supervise inventory processes for the department.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs; identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
