Qualifications

• Effective communication and math skills required.
• Must hold a current food handlers permit upon employment.
• Knife handling skills and speed required.
• Seafood department knowledge or experience preferred.
• Retail experience considered a plus.
• Second language: speaking/reading/writing beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates by communicating information.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals.
• Establish performance goals for department and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates on performance and participate in evaluations.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome by knowing seafood products and offering samples.
