Job summary

Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is seeking a CNS Manager to oversee school cafeteria operations, including nutrition program management, staffing, and compliance with federal and state guidelines.

You will manage daily production, inventory, cash handling, and student meal participation while ensuring health and safety standards are met; preferred candidates have an associates degree and CNS program experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of food service and/or management experience required.
• Must be ServSafe Certified or able to become within 90 days and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages the School Nutrition Program in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Maintains records for breakfast, lunch, snack production, cash sheets, inventories, purchasing, and time sheets.
• Oversees cash handling procedures and daily fund deposits.
• Ensures food safety, sanitation, and proper storage for all meals and supplies.
• Trains and evaluates CNS staff; conducts cafeteria staff meetings.
• Prepares daily work and cleaning schedules for CNS employees.
• Promotes healthy school nutrition and positive public relations.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
