Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a CNS Assistant Manager to lead the school cafeteria in the CNS Manager's absence. You will prepare, cook, and serve meals, salads, and a la carte items, following standardized recipes and documenting food preparation.

Requires ServSafe certification within 90 days, high school diploma, and strong customer service; offers varied school-site schedule and teamwork with students, staff, and the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be ServSafe certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals, salads, and a la carte items following standardized recipes.
• Serve as cashier and use POS system to record sales.
• Assist in deposits and bank deliveries as needed.
• Provide leadership in CNS Manager's absence.
• Maintain records, inventories, and vending procedures.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean per sanitation codes.
• Handle housekeeping duties in cafeteria areas.
• Comply with WCPSS Child Nutrition Handbook.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
