Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a CNS Assistant Manager to support the CNS Manager and lead the school cafeteria in their absence. You will prepare, cook and serve meals, salads, and a la carte items per standardized recipes, ensuring accurate documentation of food preparation.

You will cashier/handle money using a computerized POS system, maintain deposits when needed, and uphold sanitation standards. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe certification within 90 days of employment.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and standardized procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals and sides per recipes.
• Serve as cashier using POS system; maintain accurate sales records.
• Handle deposits; assist with bank deposits as needed.
• Provide leadership in the CNS Manager's absence.
• Maintain records, inventories and vending procedures.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean per sanitation codes.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the serving and dining areas.
• Comply with the CNS Handbook and communicate with staff and students.
