Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a CNS Assistant Manager to support and lead the school cafeteria operations. The role includes preparing, cooking, and serving meals, salads, and a la carte items, following standardized recipes, and maintaining accurate records of food preparation and sales.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of child nutrition policies, strong MS Office/Google Apps skills, cashier experience, and ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience in food service or cashier duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals, salads and a la-carte items per recipes.
• Operate cashier duties and record sales using POS system.
• Maintain deposits and assist in banking as needed.
• Lead cafeteria in CNS Manager's absence.
• Complete records, inventories and vending procedures.
• Keep kitchen and equipment clean per sanitation codes.
• Provide effective communication with students, parents and staff.
