Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a CNS Manager to oversee the School Nutrition Program, including supervision, food production, customer service, cash handling, and inventory. The role requires knowledge of nutrition laws, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage records and budgets within a large school district.

The CNS Manager will lead staff across multiple sites, ensure compliance with policies, and promote healthy school nutrition through effective program

Qualifications

Knowledge of child nutrition laws, policies, and procedures.
Effective time management skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral form.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for records and reports.

Responsibilities

Manages the School Nutrition Program in compliance with federal, state, local and WCPSS policies.
Maintains food cost control through planning, forecasting, and inventory control.
Supervises CNS employees and assists in selection and training.
Prepares daily work and cleaning schedules for CNS staff.
Maintains sanitation, safety, and equipment upkeep; ensures accurate records and reports.
