Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a CNS Assistant Manager to lead the school cafeteria in the absence of the CNS Manager. You will prepare, cook and serve meals, manage cash transactions, and ensure compliance with nutrition policies.

This role requires ServSafe certification within 90 days, a high school diploma, and experience in food service or cashier duties. The position is nonexempt and follows a Monday-Friday schedule with site-based work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals and a la carte items.
• Serve as cashier and record sales using a POS system.
• Deliver accurate deposits and manage money exchanges per procedures.
• Provide leadership in the CNS Manager's absence.
• Complete records, inventories, and vending procedures as required.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
