Qualifications

• Knowledge of child nutrition laws, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic math for records and reports.
• Ability to read and interpret recipes and schedules for large quantities.
• Demonstrated food production skills and independence.
• Effective clear communication, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with staff.
• Ability to build relationships with school staff, students, and community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals and side dishes according to recipes.
• Serve as cashier and maintain accurate records of food leaving serving lines.
• Handle money, deposits, and a computerized POS system.
• Provide leadership in the CNS Manager's absence.
• Complete records, inventories, and vending procedures as required.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
