The School Nutrition Assistant (SNA) prepares and serves breakfast, lunch, and other foods to school children and adults in a courteous, customer service-oriented manner. The SNA organizes and sets up equipment and workstations under the direction of the School Nutrition Manager and performs duties as required by USDA, health, food service, and other regulations and laws. The SNA demonstrates proper cafeteria equipment operation skills.
Schedule: 3.5 hours daily School Nutrition, 3.3 hours daily Bus Driver, 10 month contract.
Salary Grade 52 plus supplement.
FLSA status: Non‑exempt.
Reports to: School Nutrition Manager.
Work week: Monday – Friday.
Work hours: Part to Full Time, depending on position.
Number of months per year: Based on school calendar.
Physical Demands: Moderate to heavy physical work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force. Must be able to withstand heat, exposure to chemicals, and stand for long periods. Walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling may be involved.
Work Environment: Indoor and outdoor environments, direct contact with RCSS staff, students, and the public.
