Job summary

The Hattiesburg Public School District is seeking an Information Technology Technician to maintain and support the district's digital device environment, ensuring reliable end-user technology for administrators, teachers, and students.

Responsibilities include help-desk troubleshooting, network equipment installation, software deployment, printer and peripheral support, documentation, and coordination with the Network Administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; associates or bachelor in technology-related field preferred
• Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining end-user digital devices
• Basic knowledge of DHCP and networking principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with switches and VoIP preferred
• A+ and Network+ certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to and troubleshoot help desk tickets
• Install and troubleshoot network-based equipment in collaboration with Network Administrator
• Install and troubleshoot software on end-user digital devices
• Troubleshoot local and network printing issues
• Implementing, configuring, and maintaining digital and technology-related devices
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
• Supports the Hattiesburg Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
• Performs other duties as assigned
