Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a skilled IT professional to support the installation and configuration of end-user computing environments, including workstations, printers, and mobile devices. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree required.
Strong knowledge of end user computing environments and devices.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to assist and train non-technical users.
Good organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain procedures and documentation to maximize end user productivity.
Coordinate with vendors for installation, configuration and tier 2 support of end-user devices (e.g., printers).
Establish and monitor vendor compliance with standard operating procedures.
Develop vendor performance metrics and review with vendor management regularly.
Ensure asset management policies for end user devices are followed, including procurement, inventorying, warranty, and disposal.
Assist supervisor in forecasting long-range needs for end user computing environments.
Stay current on new technologies and recommend deployment of useful tools.
Prepare annual capital and operating budget requests.
