Job summary

Sweet Home Central School District seeks an IT Support Technician to install, repair, and maintain microcomputer equipment and related systems across a large suburban district. The role offers a high degree of independence, with supervision only as needed, and involves helping faculty, staff and students in a multi-user environment of over 4,000 clients.

You will collaborate with the Technology team, install and support Windows and Macintosh desktops, laptops, iPad environments, and Google Apps

Qualifications

Associates Degree or equivalent IT training/experience.
Minimum 3 years' IT support in a multi-user environment.
Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills.
Experience with Windows desktop and server OS.

Responsibilities

Assist faculty, staff and students with everyday computer needs in a district-wide environment.
Collaborate with technicians to support clients remotely and in the field.
Install, repair and maintain microcomputer equipment and related components; install audiovisual equipment.
Operate diagnostic/testing equipment; troubleshoot and service wired and wireless networks.
Troubleshoot, evaluate and service microcomputer network within District, including Macintosh and Windows desktops/laptops, central file storage, iPad environments, Microsoft Office, antivirus and Google Apps for Education support.
